God’s Grace

God’s grace surrounds us all. Sometimes we see it through everyday miracles that take our breath away. The grace of God can be a shelter from the tumult of the world, a comforting reminder that grace is a free gift given so generously to each of us.

The Spiritual Importance of Honeybees

Honeybees are an integral part of our natural world. They pollinate the majority of our crops and trees, giving us the food we eat and the air we breathe. But bees also hold a spiritual significance for humanity. They are present in religious life, from the Bible to monasteries. What is it about these tiny insects that connects them to the divine?

The Big Question: If God Knows All, Why Pray?

If God knows each and every one of us, sometimes better than we know ourselves, what is the purpose of prayer? As God says in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.”  He knows our every thought and desire. He knows what we want and what we need—even if we don’t yet know it ourselves.  So, if God knows all, why pray? Spiritually sage people, from pastors to philosophers, offer their own answers to this question.
