Let It Be
Daily Devotion for December 21, 2017
And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.”
—Luke 1:38 ESV
The Angel’s message was world-changing news. Even though Mary was a virgin, she would conceive and bear a Son Whose name would be Jesus. Mary’s future had just taken a miraculous and frightening turn. What would people think? Yet she responds with faith. “Let it be.” Like Mary, when we don’t understand God’s plan for us, we should put our future in God’s loving hands.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear God, guide me to respond to life’s challenges with, “Let it be.” Help me trust Your path and follow it faithfully even when I have doubts.
