Lift the Hearts of Those Around You
If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness.—Isaiah 58:10 (NIV)
In the above verse, the prophet Isaiah describes the kind of service God favors. He values and uses your willing and generous acts to help those in need. He honors all who help build the powerful positive forces in His kingdom.
Heavenly Father, when I help others, I feel energized and refreshed. I feel Your light shine on me.
