God’s Words of Love

Open the pages of the Bible for a powerful dose of the Lord’s love.

God's Words of Love

The Bible is filled with verses that point to just how much God loves you. And His love began even before you were born! “You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb” (Psalm 139:13).  Every minute of every day, God is thinking about you and planning good things for you. Psalm 139:16-18 tells us:

All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with You.

If today you are feeling unloved or inadequate, remember these facts:

1. God knows you through and through–and loves you.
There is nothing you can do to make Him love you more…or less. You are the apple of His eye! (Zechariah 2:8)

2. God is always with you.
You will never be alone; He is always with you in the midst of daily struggles and trials. “Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

3. God especially designed you, just as you are.
He has given you talents and a personality unique to you. The Message puts it this way: “Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given…Don’t compare yourself with others” (Galatians 6:4-5).

But here’s the greatest proof of divine love: “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

So go forward today with joy and confidence. God loves you!
